Are you a Vlogger or cinematographer and want to share your videos in an article? We support a variety of videos you can embed. Here are the best practices.

Best Practices

You can embed any supported video type into your articles, but if you want to share videos for Coil subscribers only make sure you follow these points:

  • Embed videos in subscriber-only posts or in the subscriber-only section of split post.
  • Set all embedded videos' privacy settings to 'unlisted' on their hosting platform (e.g. youtube or vimeo).

  • Add your videos to your articles via the embed feature.
  • Don't add your videos with the URL link feature, since we won't be able to monetize the video for you if subscribers watch it outside of coil.com
